John Chiara has spent over 100 days in the last three years in the Mississippi Delta as a PORCH Society artist in residence. The result is a magnificent body of work as well as many memorable stories regarding John’s journeys around the Delta with his incredibly large cameras. John Chiara: Coahoma County, Mississippi opened to a national audience in Clarksdale in October of 2014. Along with the Chiara exhibition, Clarksdale and surrounding area will be awash in fine blues, jumping juke joints and excellent Delta cuisine. This collaboration was made possible by a partnership between the PORCH Society and the Rose Gallery of Los Angeles California.
