Audrey’s Porch

educate • collaborate • innovate

Audrey’s PORCH will be an after school and community enrichment program under the educational pillar of the PORCH Society. The program is designed to teach academic and career preparedness skills through experiential and project-based learning. We will create a learning and making environment that provides a diverse petri dish for students of all ages, colors, genders and religions. Our mission is to educate, enliven and excite our students minds through exposure, and learning by doing along with giving them practical skills that they can use throughout their lives.

Audrey’s PORCH believes that overall, academics need to improve throughout rural communities. While we strive to incorporate academic learning into our hands on classes, we also understand that students need academic support in their school work. The program will have tutors available every day. Any student who is taking an Audrey’s PORCH class will have free access to this study help. We also stress that exposure to a variety of environments is part of the key to successful learning, and we will be implementing a number of weekend programs. It is important to us that our students have academic and emotional support along with the fun of gaining practical skills and having new experiences!
